Nutrinza

Nutrinza is a provider of specialized customized feed solutions for farmers across the country. They offer a wide range of blends including base feeds, energy feeds, protein feeds, minerals, and additives. Nutrinza supplies calf feed, inoculants, and HSR Maize Seed to meet various animal nutrition needs. With the ability to custom blend feed according to specific requirements, Nutrinza ensures comprehensive coverage for farmers' animal nutrition requirements.

The Challenge:

Nutrinza faced several challenges with their outdated systems, which were unable to cope with the increasing volume of work and growing complexity. Over a six year period, Nutrinza doubled their representatives while their Customer Service Team remained the same. The result meant the Customer Service team were struggling to keep up and on top of all the manual data entry and repetitive tasks. The complexity of their product offering and managing component volumes and prices meant they needed a comprehensive system which could talk across departments. They hired an initial company who setup Accredo, however it was very rudimentary and they needed someone to ‘fix it’ and who ‘got it’, a company that could pull all their operations together and customise where needed.


The Solution:

David Scott of Top Flight had previous dealings with Nutrinza, so this enabled him to quickly understand their unique situation. Together with the Top Flight team the existing Accredo system was optimised, and then customised further working alongside the various Nutrinza teams.

Previously, Nutrinza had manual and time-consuming processes for daily bookings, contract preparation, invoice capture, and pricing confirmation. With Top Flight's setup, these processes have been streamlined and automated, resulting in improved efficiency and accuracy.

Nutrinza can now directly load customer contracts into Accredo, send contracts using Dropbox, update contract confirmation in Accredo, and download booking reports automatically, eliminating manual data entry.

Nutrinza exports confirmed blend tonnage via CSV to their supplier, automating customer charging based on the confirmed tonnage, replacing the previous manual process of capturing quantities manually line by line by 100s of lines.

Freight rates are now loaded into the system, allowing Nutrinza's Customer Services Team to easily retrieve and apply correct rates with a click, eliminating the need to manually search through possibly outdated price sheets.

Cost and sell prices are added to Accredo, removing the need for manual confirmation and providing easy access to up to date pricing information for Nutrinza's Customer Services Team.

Nutrinza has been using Top Flight's solutions since 2016 and has experienced a continuous state of positive change. While some changes were initially met with resistance, the team quickly adapted and eagerly anticipated further improvements. The implemented changes have significantly accelerated processes for both the Customer Services Team and the Finance Team. Without these improvements, Nutrinza would have struggled to handle the increased volume of work, including orders, contracts, and invoicing. The internal changes have not only benefited Nutrinza but also improved services provided to customers.
